The pioneer of gay-for-pay porn made over 2300 scenes in the past 16 years. Older videos you can stream and download at most in 480p, which is reasonable enough, for oldest ones the aspect ratio is usually 4:3, but later it rises to webHD 540p, which makes for most of the videos on the site. The newest ones go up to the full HD, 1080p in 16:9 aspect ratio. I have had trouble streaming 540p sometimes, I won’t even mention what happens when you try to skip ahead on 1080p. The 720p came along with 1080p, as a somewhat lower q substitute, but never as the top-quality option. It is a good thing they have a download for all their videos, otherwise, it would be a hell of trouble to simply jack off. 885 videos are HD, the rest is as mentioned. All scenes have follow-up photos, those you can check in the dedicated gallery, and save each individually. I have not seen any zip file downloads for photos, so if you want them, you will have to make a little bit more effort. Pictures are awful, great for web and mobile devices, but way too small for a desktop. The 720x480px is simply a shame to even put out. New scenes come out every two days.

 

The scenes usually start out with models talking to the producer who is behind the camera, if it’s their first, they talk about themselves, if it’s a couple they sometimes converse among themselves, but usually with the producer asking them a couple of questions while they cuddle. There are several sorting options for easier navigation to desired content, but their auto-suggestive search will be more than helpful, listing both corresponding tags, models, and scenes as soon as you start typing, and it responds rather quickly, and right after you have typed the first two letters. There is also “advanced search” where you can combine models and tags to get desired content, using more than one at a time. It makes me forgive them for not having a larger pagination span (five pages), or for the lack of the “last page” button.

Overall, Sean Cody offers some quality content when it comes to production, camerawork, and the models they employ. The strategy they use to create their merchandise might not come out as a ray of sunshine, but it does make for good gay porn. Furthermore, the pictures that come along with videos are not even put in the second-rate, but completely obsolete, which comes as a bit of disappointment, but many do not pay regard to pictures, I suppose that is what hides behind their semi-demise.
